Create A Solid Foundation

Improve your highest-impact pages

Focus On Your Website’s Core Pages

We’ll set your website up for success using a robust process that speaks to each stage of the user journey.

In the foundation content sprint, we’ll review your site’s current pages, looking at what’s ranking well, and where there are opportunities for improvement. The biggest part of this sprint is a full content audit and keyword research.

We’ll run through your entire site, and refresh, rewrite, merge, and delete pages (yes, delete). It’s no longer enough to write content for the sake of writing content — if it doesn’t answer a user’s question, it’s dragging your site down.

We’ll identify new linking and keyword opportunities for your existing content using a proven strategy.

This process means the difference between “I’m ranking for a few keywords on page 2 of Google” and “holy crap we’re ranking #1 for our top 15 keywords! The leads and sales coming from our website are super-qualified and through the roof!!”

Assign Target Pages

When tackling your on-site content, we start by building a target pages file. This allows us to organize the pages by priority, and track progress. We build this list by looking at the pages where we can move the needle the quickest. We then use these target pages to find competitors at the keyword level, and reverse engineer what these websites are doing to rank on top of the SERPs that your website is not.

Keyword Research

Once that’s done, we start the KWR process. We look at what you’re ranking for, what your competitors are ranking for, and what the best high impact, high intent, high volume KWs are that your pages should be focused on.

We then put this together into a clear matrix that lays out every page and every keyword, including the main keyword, and secondary or semantic keywords that you should be targeting. We also include the customer journey stage, page type that is ranking for that keyword (blog, product page, etc), competition, and the total number of links needed to rank for that given keyword.

On-page Optimizations

Keywords without action are useless. Once we’ve completed our keyword research, we run an on-page analysis, and put together a detailed report that shows you (or us) how to implement these changes.

Content Briefs

We’ll create a list of content topics, and flesh out briefs for each one. This gives you a full matrix of content ideas, and in-depth content outlines for your writers (or ours).

Consultation & Implementation

Once we’ve completed our keyword research, onpage optimization suggestions, content matrix, and content briefs, we’ll run through each of our deliverables with you on a recorded screenshare. At that point, you can determine whether you’d like for our team to implement our findings, or if you’d prefer to take it in-house.

What’s The Investment?

$2,500 – $10,000

Total investment depends on a number of factors including:

– Total number of pages in the target file

– Number of topics for ideation

– Total content briefs

– Who implements the content (ie your team or ours)

– The amount of training & consulting for your team

Why Work With Us?

Our unique approach to content considers not only the total number of searches per month for a keyword, but also the stage of the buyers’ journey where each page fits, and the search intent for that keyword (transactional, informational, navigational, or commercial.)

Our content briefs are highly comprehensive, and have been called “a coloring book for writers.”

We leverage AI to produce high-quality content at scale that Google and users love, and is virtually guaranteed to rank highly.

Better Bounce Rate

When we rewrote the content on this client’s site, they saw a dramatic improvement in their YoY bounce rate. Users were finding answers to their questions and staying on the site longer, which built know, like, and trust, eventually converting them into clients.

Proprietary Process

When writing copy, we look at the ideal keywords, but that’s not all we review. We analyze the type of pages currently ranking (blog, landing page, service page, etc), and we evaluate where in the customer journey the content fits. Does it best serve in the awareness phase? Discovery? Consideration? Additionally, what’s the keyword intent? Is it transactional? Informational? All of these are factors we consider beyond monthly keyword search volume.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Exactly Is A Sprint?

A sprint is a focused effort to address each major pillar of an SEO campaign (technical fixes, content, & links). Some agencies will bounce around between the three pillars in the course of a month while working on your campaign. We narrow our focus and complete the work within a matter of weeks.

How Does Pricing Work?

It’s a one-time investment based on the total number of URLs on your website. The more URLs there are, the more effort involved on our end, and the higher the investment per sprint.

Who Is This For?

This is designed for businesses who have a dedicated content manager / writer, and will include at least 35 content briefs for publication.

Is There Any Recurring Work?

In a word, no. Each one of our sprints is completed as a standalone service. That said, almost all of our clients sign on for multiple sprints throughout the year, depending on their needs. For example, we generally run a growth sprint 2-4 times per year for a client, which ensures that enough content is created to keep the site fresh and on top of search results.

How Many Sprints Do I Need?

This depends on your website’s current technical and content health, how it’s performing, and the level of investment that you’re comfortable with. Typically, our clients will schedule 5-6 sprints in a 12-month period, and we’ll work with you to determine the optimum number of sprints for your business.

Will You Guarantee Results?

Not only no, but HELL NO. Any SEO agency that claims to “guarantee results” is selling you snake oil, and we strongly advise you to run far, far away from those charlatans. SEO is a fast-moving, constantly changing industry, and the search engine algorithms are incredibly complicated. These algos change on a daily basis, and as a result, the only sort of “guarantee” we can offer is to place your website in the best possible position to work with you to reach your chosen business goals. We’re not shy about sharing the results we’ve gotten for previous clients, and we believe that the quality of our work (and our expertise) speaks for itself.
